I’ve only been around one briefly, so I can’t say for sure. It seems like an experiment/gimmick, especially since it has TouchID when I’m assuming FaceID will be coming to MacBooks soon. But I think the touchbar could be good if there was a program you used a lot that was optimized for it, otherwise it seems like it could be frustrating for buttons to be moving around or disappearing as you switch apps. But maybe that’s because I’m so used to static, physical buttons. Doesn’t seem like much of a gamechanger to me. I’ll be curious to see if Apple keeps it.
