I'm assuming you mean PHEV when you say hybrid? I obviously agree that PHEVs may be the best option for a lot of people since they combine so many of the best aspects of EV and ICE cars. That said, I think EVs are great as long as you have the right expectations for them. If you rarely ever start the day with a full tank/battery and drive so much that you need to refill/recharge it in the middle of the day, an EV should work fine unless you're on a multi-day road trip. With long charging times and limited charging stations, you can't expect an EV to do it all. A PHEV can really do it all, but that means polluting more. But I think a lot of people would be surprised at how rarely they even drive 30 miles in a day.
