I definitely agree. I think another big problem with tech reviews is that, since they see new models of devices every year, they often make comments like “It’s not much different than last year’s model” or “It isn’t worth upgrading from last year’s model”, as if people upgrade their tech every year. Even rich people don’t do that! When it comes to things like smartphones, the question should be if a new model is significantly better than the model from 2–3 years ago. I’m sure the number of people who lease their phones so they can replace them every year is very small compared to people on longer replacement cycles.
